Nervous System

We can touch, sense, and feel. Do we know how it happens? It’s because of the nervous system in our body. It acts as a bridge for communication. The nervous system is classified into two; central nervous system and peripheral nervous system. Neurons help in the process of communicating. The nervous system is composed of neurons and glia cells. The central nervous system consists of the neurons connecting brain, spinal cord and nerve cord. The peripheral nervous system consists of other parts connected by sensory neurons. The touch or sense is transmitted by the sensory neurons from the peripheral nervous system to the central nervous system. The central nervous system processes it and then sends the result to the peripheral nervous system to the part of the body experiencing the sense or the touch.
