Bones are the organs in our body that keep growing. The bones consist of many layers of cancellous which are surrounded composite bones. It is then covered by a thin dense membrane called periosteum containing the blood vessels and nerves. Normally there will be only 300 bones at the time of birth. The number of bones increases as we grow. At the age of 25 the bone growth will be stopped and the number of bones counts to 206. There are many functions done by the bone. Some of them are
Protection, movement, production of blood cells, etc. Bones are of five different types namely,
- Long Bones
- Short Bones
- Sesamoid Bones
- Flat Bones
- Irregular Bones
